Nipun Malhotra is Co-founder and CEO of the Nipman Foundation, which works as an advocate for persons with disabilities. He is a visiting Research Fellow at World Enabled, a Pineda Foundation initiative; the brand ambassador of Umoja Travels, India’s first accessible travel company; and sits on the board of Vishwas, a nonprofit working on disability and development.
Malhotra is Executive Director at Nipman Fastener Industries, a leading automotive fastener manufacturing company in India.
He is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi School of Economics and the Indian School of Business. He is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
Some of Malhotra's recent initiatives include the wheelchair access filters for listings on restaurant aggregator Zomato; availability of wheelchairs at NH7, India’s biggest music festival; and the Jaipur Literature Festival. He lobbied with the Delhi government for a disabled exemption from the odd-even car rule. He is also on the experts panel of NITI Aayog (formerly the Indian Planning Commission).
An avid tweeter, Malhotra writes regularly on disability issues.
He has also authored a comic titled No Red Card for the Disabled. He was born with arthrogryposis, a rare congenital disorder, and is a wheelchair user.
